THANK YOU TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS WHO HELPED MAKE THIS YEAR'S EVENT THE BIGGEST AND MOST SUCCESSFUL ONE EVER!

Thank you to Rio Rancho Puiblic Schools Transportation for providing all the transportation services! YOU GUYS ROCK!
The BIG Event is a one-day community service project sponsored by Rio Rancho High School Associated Students.
Teams of student volunteers, supervised by adult volunteers, visit homes in Rio Rancho to perform odd jobs such as weeding, raking leaves, and painting. This is the school's way of saying "Thank You!" to the community for its support of our public schools.
Rio Rancho High held its first "Big Event" in 2008, modeling it after similar events held by colleges. RRHS was one of the first high schools in the country to adopt this concept as a community service project. Every year, the program has grown and schools in other states are now contacting Rio Rancho High to learn how to start "Big Events" of their own. To see pictures of previous BIG Events, CLICK HERE.
