Mike C. Seiler has an M.Ed in Educational Leadership from The University of Montana where he was a Graduate Assistant in the Educational Leadership Office helping the professors organize and coordinate their classes. He holds a Post-Bacc. teaching certification and an extended B.A. in History from Montana State University Billings.
Mike has an extensive background teaching secondary education. He taught 7-12 Social Studies in Sand Point Alaska for two years where he was also the Student Council Adviser. He spent three years teaching World History, American History, Geography, Government, Economics, and was the Web Page Editor at Desert Hills High School in Gilbert Arizona. Mike also taught on the Ramah Navajo Indian Reservation in Western New Mexico. While teaching at Pine Hill Mike taught 7th grade Geography, 8th grade American History, 10th grade World History, 11th grade American History, and 12th grade Government and Economics. Mike was also the Dean of Students and Athletic Director for Mission Heights College Prep in Casa Grande AZ.
Mike also has been involved in various extracurricular activities.
At Desert Hills he was the head girl’s softball coach and assistant varsity and JV basketball coach and the offensive line coach for the football team. While at Pine Hill he was in charge of the Close Up program taking students to Washington D.C. where both the students and teachers experience democracy in action. Mike was also in charge of the school wide textbook adoption for the social studies department.
At RRHS he teaches AP Human Geography and Geography and coaches Middle School Track. In his free time Mike enjoys fly-fishing and floating the many rivers of Montana. When he gets a chance Mike also enjoys traveling.
