Hello My Name Is...
My name is Mrs. Michelle Sanchez and I work as a Cross Categorical teacher at Rio Rancho High School. I am married and have daughter who is a junior in high school. I have a Masters of Arts degree in Education Curriculum and a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education/ Early childhood. I have been working in public education for 15 years. I hold a level III teaching license. I have mentored 5 student teachers, and three practicum students. I have had many awards and honors bestowed upon me. I was awarded Wal-Mart Teacher of the year, nominated for a Golden Apple award, RGE Teacher of the Year, Who's Who among teachers, awarded two pie grants, and I was a presenter at a NAEYC early childhood conference.
To have a place of growing knowledge and acceptance is what I want for my classroom. I would hope that we will be able to work towards a successful year together. Teaching has always been a passion for me. I have a love for learning and I would hope that my students would also love learning as much as I do. By making my classroom a safe, fun, and disciplined place for my students, I would hope that they will enjoy coming to my classroom and learning something new everyday. I feel that all children are different and required specific attention and affection for them to flourish. I will strive to be that for each of my students and educator who gives each child that walks in her door and gives each of them not only an education, but a passion to learn.
This year will definitely be a fun year, but as in every school year, things can and will come up. I believe that a successful year starts with and open communication line between parents and teachers. Please feel to call or email me (Michelle.Sanchez@rrps.net) anytime you have any concern, Also, with any emails sent, please allow me until the end of the day to respond. This will be a very busy year and I will not have much time to look at emails until the end of the day.
Looking forward to a wonderful school year!
