Recycling Tuesdays -  
RRHS It's time for Recycling Tuesdays! At this time, Please send a student with your recyclables to the main Recycle Bin behind the Cafeteria and E & T. Thank you for caring! 


Boys Basketball Open Gym -  
Boys Basketball will have open gym from 6:30-8pm on October 25th. Boys Basketball tryouts begin on Monday, November 19th. More information regarding tryouts will be made in November. See Coach Salata if you have any questions. 


Native American Students -  
Any Native American student who would like to participate in the Miss Indian District RRPS and District Brave should go to room Humanities 212 to pick up an application from Ms. Fisk. Applications are due Tuesday, October 30, 2018.” 


Native American Culture and History -  
Native American facts: The Iroquois nation mainly cultivated corn, beans and squash, which were called the "three sisters." The crops were associated with the female spirit. 


Swim and Drive Tryouts -  
Swimming & Diving Tryouts for the 2018-2019 season will begin on Monday, October 29th at the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center. Swimming will be Monday - Friday 3pm to 5pm and Diving will be on Monday and Wednesday 7pm to 9pm and Saturday 10am to 12noon. Swimmers and divers must have ALL paperwork completed and submitted PRIOR to tryouts. Please visit the new website on the school web pages under athletics/Team Pages to see what is required. 


UTI Field Trip -  
This message is for students in 11th and 12th grade who are interested in pursuing a career as an automotive mechanic. If you would like to visit Don Chalmers Ford and speak to a Universal Technical Institute representative, please see Mrs. Affentranger in HUM 116 to obtain information on an upcoming field-trip. The field trip to Don Chalmers Ford will be on 10/29 and permission slips are due on 10/25. 


Scholarship -  
RAMS,If you would like to be nominated for the Carson scholarship, please see our school website and click on the college-prep link, which is located in the quick links section. From there, please navigate to the scholarship link for more details. We are looking to nominate a 9th-11th grade student with a core GPA of 3.75 who practices volunteering on a regular basis. The deadline is 11/16 to submit your application to your counselor. Use this link regularly when searching for scholarships!

Fall Blood Drive -  
The Fall Blood Drive is coming on October 23. You must be at least 16 years-old to donate, and if you are under the age of 18, you will need to submit a parent permission form when You can pick up a permission form at the sign-up table, or from the Athletics Office in the gym. Sign ups for appointments will be all this week.

Girls Basketball Open Gyms -  
Girls Basketball will be having open gyms on Monday, October 29th, Monday Novemeber 5th, and Monday November 12th from 5:15 to 6:15 in the evening. We are excited for the upcoming season and want to invite you to participate in our open gyms. You do not need a physical to participate in open gyms. Stop by and see Coach Peterson in Sci-Matics room #207 if you have any questions. Hope to see you in the gym! 


Upcoming Athletic Events -  
Good luck to the Rams in action this weekend. The boys soccer team will be playing at home tomorrow night in the stadium against visiting Los Alamos. The match kicksoff at 6pm. Our football team hits the road and plays tomorrow night at Community Stadium in Albuquerque against Atrisco Heritage. Game time is 7pm. Our boys and girls cross country team runs Saturday in the Rio Rancho Jamboree right here at RRHS. Races begin at 9am. Good luck Rams!!!

Good Morning Students For Life Members. It's another month and our monthly meeting is this Monday, October 22nd, right after school in ET 217. We welcome anyone else who would like to visit or join in our mission. See you there!
